Target audience

The target audience for my magazine is going to be for people who have an interest, enjoy or like independent music. i Think that music magazines are mainly aimed towards males therefore i am going to lean mine towards the male generation however i am not going to completely rule out the female generation for my magazine as i know they are plenty of females who do read music magazines and are into independent music and for me to do that it would be gender bias therefore i am going to try and make it appeal to both male and female.

My magazine is going to be aimed towards people who are of the age 17-24 as i think the younger population are going to enjoy my music magazine and the independent music genre. To make it attract this particular age range i will need to make the magazine seem eye catching and appealing, therefore i will need to think about fonts and colours which this target population are most likely to notice, also i will have to think about the language i use on my magazine and the message i give out.

My target audience is going to be for people who feel that music is an important part in their lives and who like listening to new musical artists who would choose to listen to indie bands not just because they have to but because they want to. My target audience will also be people who like to keep up with new bands and artists and more then likely have a big interest in music.
