This my final contents paage product. I created my contents page on DTP.
The first thing i created on my contents page was the masthead, i wanted to make the masthead bold and noticable so that the audience would automaticaly see it and know that it was a contents page.
I then created an editors note, as when researching magazines i noticed that nearly everyone i looked had an editors note therefore i included one on my contents page to try and make it look as realistic as possible, all the text on my editors note is origanl and created by me, basically i have wrote about what to expect in this months issue of my magazine creation 'IML'. At the top of my editors note i have also included a dateline and an image of myself as again when researching i noticed that most of the editors notes had images of themselves.
I have sectiond the different contents of my mgazine into three different sections such as; on the cover, regulars and the other is just what is included in the magazine. For some of the titles on what are included in my magazine underneath them i have included little snippets about what the article is about. I chose to do the layout this way as i think its clear to the audience where certain things are therefore they will be able to navigate around easily.
The colour scheme on my contents page mainly consists of white, black and grey. This is because i wanted to keep the colours of my contents page as neautral as possible so that it does not look to manic and also adds an edge of seriousness to the production, and also the images i have choesn to put on my contents page contrast well with the background and are cleary seen.
I have chosen two images to locate on my contents page. The first image i decided to put on is a medium close up of my model, this is because you can see clearly what the model is wearing which is fashionable clothes and as my model is looking away from the camera with quite a smug look on his face can represent an ideology of been a proud, independent individual whereas the second image is still a medium close up but this time in black and white, also the model on this one is not making eye contact with the camera but is still making communication by laughing which i think is shown through the image which could represent a more laid back, friendly character, therefore i think the different representations between the two charcters will attract the audience to look at the images and want to read the article.
